Biography

Ger Ruigrok has been a historical research assistant at Huygens Institute since 2003. As a bibliographic analyst, among other things, he was responsible for the descriptions in the then Digital Bibliography of Dutch History (DBNG) project for many years. In addition, he carried out work for the Digital Women’s Lexicon of the Netherlands (DVN), the project ‘Generale Missiven VOC 1610-1795’, and is currently working on transcribing letters and texts as part of the ‘Mondrian Papers Project’, GeoNames identifications as part of the ‘VOC sailors place names’ project, assigning Virtual International Authority File (Viaf) identifications of personal names from the Biographical Portal and transcribing Resolutions Staten-Generaal for the ‘Ground-Truth Republic’ project.
