Virtual Launch Novel Perceptions
Join the Novel Perceptions team at our virtual launch, hosted by University Centre Telford:
- Prof Sebastian Groes (English, University of Wolverhampton) and Dr Aidan Byrne (English, University of Wolverhampton) will introduce Novel Perceptions and some of the questions it hopes to answer.
- Dr Elizabeth Dearnley (English, University of Wolverhampton) will discuss how alternative traditions such as ‘weird fiction’ pose questions about canonicity.
- Dr Tom Mercer (Psychology, University of Wolverhampton) will show how statistical survey analysis can shed new light on the role of memory in biases.
- Prof Karina van Dalen-Oskam (Digital Humanities, Huygens Institute, Netherlands) will explore how computational methodologies can provide new perspectives on cultural consumption and reinvigorate the Humanities.
You will also be invited to take part in an interactive online quiz and put your questions to the researchers.
The launch is free and open to all, but tickets must be booked.
