Old letters have been preserved, but what will happen to text messages?

Ineke Huysman van het Huygens Instituut vertelt over vroegmoderne brieven in De Nacht Van... op Radio 1

Ineke Huysman of the Huygens Institute explains in Radio 1’s De Nacht van… how letters give history a more human face. In a long conversation (Dutch only), she talks about early modern correspondences and how digitisation makes these handwritten letters more readable. Thereby giving history a more diverse and inclusive face.

Ineke Huysman is project manager of the Letters of Constantijn Huygens, the Letters of Johan de Witt and the Letters of the Dutch and Frisian Stadtholder’s Wives, in which the correspondence is digitised and made accessible via a database.

You can listen to the conversation on the De Nacht van… webpage or via the podcast of the same name.
