Biography
Thijs van der Veen is a communications advisor. He studied history at Leiden University and specialised in the Cold War and journalism. After his studies, he worked in the media for over sixteen years. Not only was he author and compiler of popular history books, but also editor and chief editor, producer for events and marketing manager. Until his transition to Huygens Institute, he worked for Historisch Nieuwsblad and Maarten!.
