With a particularly small microscope, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek uncovered a completely new world, one that no one had ever seen before. With the help of the team from the research project Visualising the Unknown, Rijksmuseum Boerhaave is reopening this world that Van Leeuwenhoek discovered 350 years ago. The stunning microworld will be on display from 18 April 2023 in the temporary exhibition Onvoorstelbaar (Unimaginable. How Antoni van Leeuwenhoek discovered the microworld).
