Symposium Crawly Creatures in Context

On 26 October 2022 the Rijksmuseum and Huygens Institute (KNAW) will organize an international symposium in the context of the Crawly creatures-exhibition. Experts will address the artistic techniques and scientific backgrounds of the representation of insects, amphibians and reptiles. We will discuss life-casts, automata, nature-prints, ad vivum-drawings and anatomical preparations. A tour through the exhibition, discussion and drinks will conclude the day.
