Location Hybrid (London & Online)
Start/end 17.30–19.30 GMT

How did the Synod of Dordrecht (1618–1619) help shape an Anglo-Dutch ‘orthodox’ Republic of Letters? In this lecture, Dirk van Miert (Huygens Institute) explores how religious debates, intellectual exchange and correspondence networks fostered early modern transnational connections between England and the Dutch Republic.

The meeting is organised by the Institute of Historical Research (IHR, Londen) and can be attended both in person and online.
