Thunnis van Oort is a historian with a keen interest in digital methods and technologies, citizen science, cultural heritage, colonial history and media history. He read history at the University of Groningen and has conducted research and/or taught at Radboud University, the University of Amsterdam, Oxford Brookes University, the University of Antwerp, University College Roosevelt, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Utrecht University.
