Kayleigh Goudsmit

Kayleigh Goudsmit (born 1990) studied History at VU University Amsterdam and Book Science and Manuscript Studies at the University of Amsterdam. After a year working as a government policy officer, she decided to focus more in her specific field of expertise. In June 2016 she started as web editor/editor-in-chief at, an initiative of Huygens ING and the Royal Netherlands Historical Society (KNHG). Since January 2018 she has also been a communication officer for the KNHG, combining her work there with freelance assignments.

In 2017 Kayleigh was declared Young Historian of the Year 2017, with a plan focusing on historians in the labour market. This is quite a familiar topic for her: she has written the book Gezocht: Historicus [Wanted: Historian] and she organises intervision sessions for interns within the Humanities Cluster.
