CLARIAH invites everyone to visit the extra Tech Day: an unconference and hackaton where attendants decide what will happen. It is scheduled on March 29th at the IISH.
Because the Tech Day in October 2017 was such a success an extra Tech Day has been scheduled on March 29th between 10:30 and 17:00 at IISH in Amsterdam. Like last time, this event has all the characteristics of an unconference combined with a hackathon. Software developers / those who want to learn programming and are working in the heritage sector, Social Science or Humanities are invited to join in! The attendees will decide what will happen and get the opportunity to build software or work with it. There will be a round of presentations on each session at 16:00 followed by drinks.
The following subjects have been suggested, but feel free to add new ideas on the event itself or leave a message at Basecamp. You might be asked to create an account to log in!
Relationship with NDE
Although there are many personal and institutional relationships between CLARIAH partners and NDE, a more structural approach could be beneficial to both infrastructures. After discussions with Enno Meijers (KB), Sjors de Valk will show the High Level Design of NDE and discuss the potential overlap and interaction with the CLARIAH infrastructure.
Marnix van Berchum and Jauco Noordzij (Huygens ING) will organise a hands-on session with ANANSI.
Exploration of the possible connections between CLARIAH and DBPedia.
CLARIAH Security Service
Roeland Ordelman and Jaap Blom (B&G) will organise a hands-on with the CLARIAH security solution and how to integrate the authentication and authorisation service into software of users.
Given enough interest a session with the LCRDM on FAIR APIs and/or a hands-on session with OpenSKOS might be added to the program. Other suggestions are more than welcome!
