Femke Gordijn (1996) recieven both her bachelors and masters in History from Leiden University. Her focus was on early modern maritime history. During her masters , she became increasingly interested in digital research methods. During her studies, she was an intern and student assistant at the KNAW Humanities Cluster – NL- LAB. Since November 2021, Femke works for the REPUBLIC project as coordinator crowdsourcing & communication. She is responsible for the project’s crowdsourcing platform Goetgevonden! and is the main point of contact for the volunteers who work for REPUBLIC. She also manages the communication channels of the project. Femke also further develops her interest for the field of Digital History within REPUBLIC; she assists with diverse data extraction tasks.
