Biography

Diede Zwijnenburg (1993) holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and obtained her Research Master’s degree in History from the University of Amsterdam. She focuses on cultural and gender history and wrote her master’s thesis on representations of sexuality in seventeenth-century pornographic novels from the Republic. During her studies, Diede joined the Royal Netherlands Historical Society as a communications and web editing intern. Prior to studying History, she studied Communications and worked as an editorial intern at the NOS. Here she took part in the project ‘75 Jaar Bevrijding’. Since February 2023, she is a communications officer at the KNHG and web editor for Historici.nl, a joint platform of the Huygens Institute and the Royal Netherlands Historical Society.
