Biography
Diede Zwijnenburg (1993) holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and is currently finishing her Research Master’s degree from the University of Amsterdam. She focuses on cultural and gender history and is writing her thesis on sexual representations in seventeenth-century pornographic novels from the Dutch Republic. During her studies, Diede joined the Royal Dutch Historical Society (KNHG) as a communications and web editing intern. Prior to studying history, she studied Communications and worked as an editorial intern at the NOS. Here she took part in the project ‘75 Jaar Bevrijding’. Since 2023, she is working as communications officer at the KNHG and as web editor for Historici.nl, a joint platform of Huygens ING and KNHG.
