Ronald Haentjens Dekker

Ronald Haentjens Dekker studied Informatics at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, with Technical Computing Studies as his main subject. He subsequently worked at the Software Engineering Research Centre (SERC, now Cibit), the Netherlands Institute for Scientific Information Services (NIWI) and the Application Development department of the KNAW. At Huygens ING he worked, among other things, as the team leader for software development for the Van Gogh correspondence project. At present he is head of the development team, supervises the software developers and oversees projects where required. Besides his management tasks he is also working on a new text collation programme called CollateX. This programme is a component of the international Interedition project, which is a co-operative effort in the field of the publication and analysis of digital text material. In addition, he is also a member of the steering group of the ‘Geleerdenbrieven’ (Scholars’ Correspondence) project.
