Our institute conducts advanced research into sources pertaining to the history of the Netherlands. In doing so, we wish to combine ‘classical’ and ‘modern’ expertise. Researchers with a background in history or literature work together with information scientists and software developers. In addition, we want to be at the head of the pack when it comes to innovation within our disciplines. Which new possibilities can technology offer to create research tools and text editions, and how do these relate to existing research requirements and standards? How can we shape these new possibilites?
