The Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands is an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. With approximately 100 employees, Huygens ING is the largest humanities research institute of the Netherlands. We work on sixty-five research projects that study themes from political and institutional history, literature and letters, and the history of science. We’re located in the building of the KB (National Library), right next to The Hague Central Station.
