Huygens ING is the largest research facility focused on the humanities of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. We conduct research and make texts available which relate to history, the history of literature and the history of science. The application and development of information technology is a major component of this research. The institute’s one hundred employees (mostly scientists) work at the brand-new fifth floor of the Royal Library of the Netherlands’ building, next to The Hague Central Station.
